Stohlquist products are the result of a lifetime of hands-on paddling, entrepreneurial spirit, craftsmanship, and design experience. In early 2004, Stohlquist and Aqua Lung joined together to capitalize on the synergies each has in the personal flotation business, both above and below the water.
STOHLQUIST'S GRADED SIZING: Stohlquist has developed a chassis that varies in dimensions to match the size of the paddler, offering the best fit and lowest footprint possible for the widest range of body types.
CUSTOMIZABLE FOR EVERYONE: Stohlquist has fine-tuned each individual size and sculpted the foam footprint and foam thicknesses to provide a better-fitting and more comfortable PFD for people of all sizes. This allows them to fit younger, smaller-framed paddlers up to larger adults in the same style vest, while offering the same amount of mobility and a low-profile fit across the entire size range.
ABOVE THE REST: Other manufacturers simply change the length of their straps without adjusting the dimensions of the flotation foam, creating a bulky, uncomfortable fit - potentially, dangerously so for smaller paddlers. Graded sizing provides the correct chassis dimensions with varying amounts of floatation for foam for every size paddler to ensure the most comfortable fit and the right amount of buoyancy.

FEEL THE MOVEMENT - The Fit PFD features a high mobility, non-restrictive cut. The higher placement of the upper buckle helps reduce ride up, and the thinner back panel reduces seat back interference.
INNOVATION MEANS BETTER - All foam corners are rounded and sculpted compared to many 3-buckle PFDs. The box-stitched webbing is also more durable than bar-tac stitching used by other Economy PFDs.
COAST GUARD APPROVED - Safety is Stohlquist's number one concern for open water explorers. The Fit PFD is approved for paddlers over 90 pounds to enjoy paddling, general boating, and use on personal watercraft.
ALL THE FLOAT - The Fit PFD comes with four Adult Universal PFD life vests in a convenient zippered storage bag. Lightweight at only 0.7 pounds and available in an easily adjustable universal unisex size fitting.
